Tanning bed supplies
Without tanning bed supplies you won't get very far in your quest for a bronzed body. If you plan on getting a great tan this summer by using a tanning bed, there are a few items you'll want to have on hand.
First, decide where you want to tan. Some people have a tanning bed in their own home, which can cost a small fortune. But if that's not the route for you, an easier alternative is to simply go to your local tanning salon. Because owning and maintaining a tanning bed can be very involved, it's a lot better to opt for a tanning salon. But you can't go empty-handed.
One of the first tanning bed supplies you'll want to make sure you have with you is a good quality tanning lotion. The purpose of tanning lotion is to keep your skin from getting dry during the tanning process. There is a huge variety to choose from and can be purchased at any grocery store or online at fairly affordable prices. Additionally, you can also purchase tanning accelerators that encourage the production of melanin through the use of chemicals, amino acids, and vitamins.
Because you'll be exposed to direct light, it is vital that you protect your eyes. Another important item to bring along to the salon is protective eyewear. You can either buy a pair of special goggles at the tanning salon or other store that sells sun care products or tanning bed items. Close exposure to UV rays can damage your eyes and ruin your retinas. Never enter a tanning bed without something for your eyes.
Additional such supplies to check off your list include: a clean towel, regular body lotion, and sanitizing cleanser (if the tanning salon doesn't already provide it). Tanning beds see their fair share of people and cleanliness should always be at the top of your list. Make sure to use the sanitizing cleanser to wipe down any surfaces of the tanning bed that aren't already clean. After you're done tanning, be sure to clean up after yourself.
The great thing about tanning salons is that they often sell plenty of tanning bed supplies so if you're a first-timer to the tanning world, feel free to pick their brain at the salon and ask them to recommend the best items for you.
